Reduce artwork and print costs
TCG started working with Brandweaver in July 2008 to install a bespoke online artwork creation and web-to-print system across its 150 sites, in just three months. As well as allowing TCG to create a range of marketing materials online - from direct mail to POS, banners, menus and advertising - the system enabled individual site managers to order print through a centralised account which generated significant savings through economies of scale. Brandweaver also acts as a centralised communication, reporting and budget tracking system and is the first such system which is entirely free to set up. Its ease of use enabled TCG to save time and money when producing marketing materials and also ensured there was brand consistency across multiple sites whilst allowing managers autonomy over localised campaigns.

Jonathan Royle, Marketing Controller for TCG, comments, “We have 150 sites across the country, each with individual marketing requirements which can be exceptionally difficult and costly to manage. Since we started using Brandweaver, we have saved an average £7,000 per month on artwork creation and 16 percent on our printing costs. This adds up to a significant saving across the year and with no set-up costs involved, there has been no barriers to prevent us reaping the immediate rewards.”

The Brandweaver system can be customised to fit an organisation’s own branding and TCG created a bespoke system called BBB, or the Business Building Bank.

“The functionality allowed our managers to re-order marketing collateral from central stock, localise approved templates, create templates from scratch and order point of sale, order centrally stored stationery, run stock reports, view head office communication and literature and finally view any enquiries from customers directed from the website”, continued Royle. “We also added bespoke functionality to allow a CRM database system so that each house could upload and manage their own data.

“Other systems were considered but they weren’t as flexible; with Brandweaver we could tailor it to our specific needs and so we ended up with an entirely personalised system. Brandweaver was easy to use and the added account management functionality, such as its ‘Gross Profit Calculator’, made it a cut above its competitors.”

TCG plan to extend its use of the Brandweaver system to manage the purchasing of uniforms, crockery and other branded items.
